Ken Griffey Jr. Upper Deck Rookie Card: King of Kings (Best Baseball Card On Earth?)

The 1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie Card is a thing of beauty.

Many people have said it is their favorite card of all-time.

Many kids who came to age in the 1980s and 1990s lusted over this card only hoping when they ripped open a pack of 1989 Upper Deck that Griffey's big grin would be looking back at them.

The card is numbered #1 and shows a close-up shot of THE KID with a grin from ear to ear.

Ken Griffey Jr. was drafted with the 1st pick in the 1987 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners. Out of all the number one picks in sports that bust this was NOT one of them! He played high school baseball at Archbishop Moeller HS in Cincinnati, OH and eventually ended up back in Cincinnati playing for the Reds in the twilight of his career.

If you don't own the 1989 UD Griffey Jr card you are not a true Ken Griffey Jr. FANBOY.

We know people who literally own dozens of these baseball cards.
